Trauma and Grief Counseling for December 2015 Tornado Victims

Saturday December 26th, 2015 residents of Garland and Rowlett, Texas suffered tragedy beyond words when an EF-4 Tornado stuck near Lake Ray Hubbard.

One cannot see the destruction nor recall the loss of lives without deep heartache. We hurt for one-another. We will carry emotions tied to this nightmare for the rest of our lives.

The professional counselors of HCC wish to help those directly involved. If the emotive pain is occurring now or strikes weeks later, we want to help you get past the hurt. We work with people experiencing loss, grief, and PTSD related issues.

HCC, PLLC will provide at no-cost a maximum of three, forty-five minute regular sessions for individuals, couples, and/or family groups who were directly affected. The intention of this offer is to provide no-cost (i.e. no out-of-pocket expenses) for persons who want help dealing with emotional trauma caused by the horrific destruction, injury and loss of life.

First responders of the Federal, State, and Local Police and Fire Departments who helped in the aftermath are also included in this offer.

In the sessions (1, 2, and/or 3) clients will talk about their feelings, and they will be presented with coping skills. These skills are intended to enable them to better deal with the emotional upheaval that continues after physical damage heals.

Should additional sessions be required the next three sessions (4, 5, and/or 6) will be offered at a special-reduced rate per session.
